In-Furnace Thermal Imaging for Survey and Operations Optimization
This session will look at how in-furnace thermal glass surveys provide essential insights into the thermal processes within glass melt tanks, with accurate, real-time measurements to increase efficiency, productivity, and asset life in glass production. A unique service for the thermal optimization of furnaces, the survey produces real-time and recorded images for analysis, supplementing traditional refractory inspections using AMETEK Land’s near infrared borescope thermal imaging system and advanced IMAGEPro image processing software. A number of case studies will be presented to demonstrate improved glass application productivity with optimized pull rates, increased thermal and combustion efficiency, lowered fuel costs, refractory damage protection, campaign life extension, and optimization of flame patterns to reduce energy consumption for a range of furnaces including cross-fired, end-fired, float and oxy.
Tuesday, October 27, 2020 | 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. | Hosted by Air Products
NEW TECHNOLOGY SPOTLIGHT WEBINAR : Synchronized Oxy-fuel Boost Burners for Zero-Port Performance Optimization
Pre-recorded technical webinar presentation (30 minutes) with live introduction and Q&A that discusses Air Products development of a novel new oxy-fuel boosting technology. This new technology automatically adjusts flame properties (particularly length, luminosity, and momentum) with each regenerator reversal to avoid negative effects, while maximizing oxy-fuel performance benefits.
Tuesday, October 27, 2020 | 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. | Hosted by Fives Stein Limited
Current and Future Melting & Conditioning Solutions for all Glassmakers
Fives will review its most advanced solutions in the field of hybrid furnaces; BH-F Working-end, Forehearths Systems, and electric furnaces. The presentations will give you the opportunity to know the Fives proposal aiming to maintain the glass melting and conditioning processes at the highest standard of competitiveness and quality, keeping in mind the challenges of the future.
